Then, the Hooligan's will entertain us with a reading of a Cuban folktale in Spanish and English during a morning assembly. A rooster/gallito will be the star of the story!
Next, we will pick out a free book to call our own.
After that, we will read with a pillow, blanket, or stuffed animal for an extended read-to-self time.
Finally, we will end the day reading with our reading buddies in first grade.
