Unit 1 Math Average

We are in the middle of our first math unit.  As a class, we averaged 46% on the pretest.  We take the pretest before learning anything in order to assess what we know and what we don't know.  We also get to measure how much we learn by calculating our team's growth over time.  Our goal is 80% or above on the posttest in a couple of weeks.  This unit includes adding big numbers, rounding, writing numbers in various forms (standard form, picture form, word form, and expanded form), and addition word problems.  Homework goes home nightly to continue practicing and working towards mastery.
